Dr. Amani Yuda Komora, PhD, MBS, CHRP(K)

Dr. Amani Yuda Komora is a distinguished Human Resource professional with over three decades of experience in leadership, governance, and public administration.

He has served in senior leadership roles including; Vice Chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (2018–2024), General Manager of Human Resources and Administration at Kenya Ports Authority (2012–2018), and previously at the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, Kenya Revenue Authority, and East African Wildlife Society.

Dr. Komora holds a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Sociology from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K) with advanced diplomas in Human Resource Management.

He is an active member of professional and community institutions, having served on the Governing Council of the Institute of Human Resource Management, and other community boards.

In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) in 2022 and conferred as a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resource Management in 2025.
