Recruitment Panels Briefing

As the Commission prepares for the recruitment of 10,000 police constables scheduled for 3rd to 9th October, 2025, joint recruitment panels convened at the Administration Police College, Embakasi “A” Campus for a comprehensive briefing.

Commission Chairperson Dr. Amani Komora highlighted the importance of transparency and fairness throughout the exercise. He noted that the joint approach and staggering of the recruitment exercise is designed to ensure efficiency and credibility.

“It is important to note that the outcome is as important as the process. You are the champion team entrusted with this responsibility, go forth and deliver on the expectations of Kenyans” said the Chairperson

He further advocated for the recognition and rewarding of exemplary performance by panels that deliver outstanding results.

Vice Chairperson Prof. Collette Suda told the panels that Kenyans hold high expectations of the process and urged them to ensure that it is beyond reproach.

“You have been privileged to serve Kenyans with this critical responsibility. Discharge it in the best possible way, upholding integrity and credibility”, she said.

Chief Executive Officer, Peter Leley echoed the call for integrity, cautioning panelists against any form of malpractice saying such acts will attract personal responsibility.

The briefing also outlined the roles and responsibilities of panel members and addressed key concerns likely to emerge during the recruitment process, ensuring that all participants are adequately prepared to deliver a credible exercise.

Other Commissioners present were Edwin Cheluget, Peris Muthoni and Angeline Siparo, together with the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja; the Deputy Inspectors General, Eliud Lagat and Gilbert Masengeli; and the Director of Criminal Investigations, Amin Mohammed.
