The Chairperson, Commissioners and CEO today joined His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, CGH, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Kenya, for the graduation of Administration Police recruits during a colourful pass-out ceremony held at the National Police College, Embakasi ‘A’ Campus.
Speaking during the event, President Ruto congratulated the newly trained officers and urged them to adhere strictly to professionalism and the rule of law. The Head of State emphasised that modern policing requires integrity and accountability, calling on the new officers to serve all Kenyans without fear, favour, or prejudice.
He reiterated the Government’s commitment to continuous security sector reforms aimed at improving officer welfare and operational efficiency, noting that the transition to the new police uniform directly reflects recommendations of the National Taskforce on Police Reforms and underscores the Government’s commitment to elevating officer dignity and professional standards.
Special Recognition for Officers Returning from Haiti
Prior to the pass-out ceremony, a special recognition event was held for the Kenyan police contingent deployed to the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission in Haiti. In a deeply symbolic gesture marking the successful completion of their tour of duty, former MSS Force Commander Mr. Godfrey Otunge, SAIG handed over the National Flag to President Ruto. He then laid a wreath to commemorate the fallen Heroes that departed in the line of Duty.
The National Police Service Commission congratulates this graduating class and warmly welcomes them into the Service. As you step out of the College and into your respective deployments, the Commission urges you to carry with you the values instilled in your training: discipline, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the Constitution.
